PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection system, capable of inputting position information of a screen, even if large, in no contact, and converting image information converted from the input position information to visible light to project it. SOLUTION: In the image projection system, position information of a pattern reflecting or absorbing non-visible light is obtained by detecting reflected light from a screen provided with the pattern, and the position information is output to an image processing unit. The image processing unit converts the position information input from an input terminal, and transmits the image information to an image projector. The image projector converts the image information transmitted from the image processing unit to visible light, projects the visible light to the screen, and a non-visible light shielding means is disposed in the front or the inside of the image projector to remove the non-visible light from the projected visible light.
