ALTERNATING VACUUM AND RELEASING TYPE WOOD DRYING METHOD

An alternating vacuum and releasing type wood drying method is provided to improve a drying rate by drying the timber through a plurality of drying cycles and repeating reciprocally the pressure reduction period and the intraabdominal pressure period. An alternating vacuum and releasing type wood drying method comprises a pressure reduction period decompressing timber at a vacuum condition and an intraabdominal pressure period. A plurality of cycles is formed by repeating reciprocally the pressure reduction period and the intraabdominal pressure period at a rate of 5 - 10 : 1 - 5. The pressure reduction period is longer than the intraabdominal pressure period. The timber is decompressed less than 10kPa in the pressure reduction period.
