An air circuit breaker is provided to reduce the load of a closing spring and extend lifetime of an opening and closing device by reducing torque delivered to the opening and closing device by a contact spring. A fixed contactor(9a-9d) is installed behind an air circuit breaker. Each fixed contactor corresponds to circuits on R-phase, S-phase, T-phase and N-phase respectively. Movable contactors(8a-8d) are contacted to the fixed contactors in the central side of the air circuit breaker. The movable contactors move to an inserting position and a shielding position. An opening and closing axial device comprise one opening/closing axis(4) and moving part levers(7a-7d) of -phase, S-phase, T-phase and N-phase fixed in the opening/closing axis.
