PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flexible substrate and an imaging apparatus capable of almost equalizing a force for displacing toward a positive direction and a force for displacing toward a negative direction in a direction crossing an interconnecting direction within a flexible substrate surface. SOLUTION: A flexible substrate 30 is capable of displacing toward two directions, an interconnecting direction (X) within the flexible substrate 30 surface and a direction (Y) crossing the interconnecting direction, since a base material 81 has a flexibility and a long hole 84 is provided. In addition, on the other side of the flexible substrate 30, shielding members 94 and 96 are provided on both sides of the long hole 84 to increase a stiffness of flexible substrate 30. Here, since the stiffness of flexible substrate 30 is equalized on both sides of the long hole 84 by the shielding members 94 and 96, a force displacing toward the Y direction within the flexible substrate 30 surface is equalized in a positive direction and a negative direction.
