PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent damage of a battery caused by welding current. SOLUTION: The battery module is equipped with two or more batteries 10 connected linearly; an insulating cap 30 locating between batteries 10 connected and insulating batteries 10 to be connected in series; and connecting fittings 20, 40 locating between batteries 10 and connecting the batteries 10 in series. The insulating cap 30 has an outer peripheral insulating part 31 covering the outer periphery of the batteries 10 to be connected in series. The connecting fittings 20, 40 are equipped with first welding parts 21, 41 to be welded to an end surface electrode 19 of one battery 10; second welding parts 22, 42 locating on the outside of the first welding parts 21, 41 and to be welded to an end surface electrode 19 of the other battery 10; and welding terminals 23, 43 locating on the outside of the outer peripheral insulating part 31 of the insulating cap 30, insulated with the outer peripheral insulating part 31, and arranged on the outer peripheral surface of the battery 10.
