PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for information announcement and a program capable of accurately announcing both the guidance intersection, at which a driver should make a turn along a route, and the turning direction to the driver. SOLUTION: When it is determined that a driver cannot easily distinguish a guidance intersection, in another words, when it is determined that there is a high degree of difficulty in finding guidance intersection, after the distance from the position of own vehicle to the guidance intersection is 50 m or less and the next intersection is the guidance intersection, a right-side oscillator 53 or a left-side oscillator 54 that corresponds to traveling direction at the guidance intersection is started to oscillate, and to report the traveling direction at the guidance intersection to the driver (S11-S22).
