PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal information providing system that prevents unnecessary acceleration of vehicles and reduces waits for signals. SOLUTION: In an on-vehicle unit 1, a signal change time reception means 11 receives change times of a signal 2 wirelessly transmitted by a signal change time transmission means 21 of the signal 2, a GPS function 12 acquires the position of the on-vehicle unit 1 and the position of the signal 2, an arithmetic means 13 computes a recommended speed of a vehicle to the signal 2 from the change times of the signal received by the signal change time reception means 11 and the position of the on-vehicle unit 1 and the position of the signal 2 acquired by the GPS function 12, and a voice/warning display means 14 presents the computation to the driver, so that unnecessary acceleration of the vehicle is prevented and waits for signals are reduced.
