A submarine cable putting lead filler is provided to prevent damage of a cable due to a lead sinker in the outer peripheral surface of a cable duct by inserting a cable and lead filler in a submarine cable duct together. A plurality of cables are arranged in a form of column in a cable duct(3) having sufficient solidity and proper flexibility. Lead filler is inserted inside the submarine cable. The lead filler is made of a lead bundle and an outer cover. The lead bundle is connected by the rope like a sausage. The lead bundle is coated with the outer cover. The lead filler(1a) of big diameter is positioned in the center of the submarine cable duct. The lead filler(1b) of small diameter is positioned in the outer peripheral surface of the submarine cable duct. The cable is positioned in the outer peripheral surface of the lead filler. The lead filler of the small diameter is positioned in the center of the cable. The lead filler(1c) of medium diameter is positioned in the gap between the cables.
