PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a bead apex capable of reducing the usage of a component originating in petroleum resources, having excellent moldability, and capable of enhancing the heat aging resistance and hardness of a bead apex after vulcanization, a bead apex and a tire. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for forming a bead apex at least a part of which is located between unturned-back and turned-back parts of an annular ply turned back in such a way as to embrace a bead wire located on an outer peripheral face of the ply at an end in a direction perpendicular to a circumferential direction of the ply comprises a rubber component containing at least one of a natural rubber and an epoxidized natural rubber,≥60 parts by mass of silica based on 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, and 2-10 parts by mass of calcium stearate based on 100 parts by mass of the rubber component.
