PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor in which formation of fillets is visible without requiring plating processing. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the solid electrolytic capacitor comprises the steps of forming a dielectric film, a solid-state electrolytic layer, and a negative leading layer on a periphery of a positive electrode member comprising a valve action metal to thereby form a capacitive element; connecting a positive electrode lead frame to the positive electrode member of the capacitor element and a negative electrode lead frame to the negative leading layer, respectively; coating, except a part, the positive electrode lead frame and the negative electrode lead frame by a coating resin; and cutting a positive electrode and the negative electrode lead frame by dicing. The positive electrode and the negative electrode leading frame are cut by dicing, and thereafter a laser is irradiated to the cut surfaces of the positive electrode and the negative electrode lead frame.
