PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device and a driving device for clock, in which the power consumption is reduced, and even when the power voltage drops, a predetermined rotating motion can be obtained. SOLUTION: Since redundant drive current flowing through an electric motor 2 is charged to a capacitance element C1 and reused, by the capacitance element C1 connected to one terminal of the electric motor 2, the power consumption of the electric motor 2 can be reduced. Moreover, the voltage boosted by the voltage Vc of the capacitance element C1 rather than a supply voltage Ve in a charge pump form, can be applied to the electric motor 2, by charging to the capacitance element C1, and switching the connection of power terminals TA, TB by switches SW1-SW4. Even when the supply voltage drops, the rotary drive of the electric motor 2 can be continued, and the battery lifetime until the electric motor 2 stops can be extended. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
