LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize heat generation of an EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) and a circuit by reducing data transition between a memory and a look-up table. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display is provided with: a data transition conversion part 53 to compare the number of transitions between previous data and current data and selectively invert the current data to generate a reverse signal; a memory 42 to store data from the data transition conversion part 53 and to output the stored data as the previous frame data; a data transition reverse conversion part 54 to reversely convert the data from the memory 42 using the reverse signal; the look-up table 51 to compare the current data with the previous frame data reversely converted by the data transition reverse conversion part 54 to select modulation data for enhancing response characteristics of a liquid crystal; and a display drive circuit to display data from the look-up table 51 on a liquid crystal display panel.
