PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic transistor having high mobility and a large current on/off ratio, and exhibiting excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: The organic transistor having an organic semiconductor layer contains at least one kind of compounds expressed by a general formula 1, wherein X<SB>1</SB>-X<SB>6</SB>indicate a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight-chain, branched, or annular alkyl group, a straight-chain, branched, or annular alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group independently. X<SB>1</SB>and X<SB>2</SB>, X<SB>2</SB>and X<SB>3</SB>, X<SB>4</SB>and X<SB>5</SB>, or X<SB>5</SB>and X<SB>6</SB>may be combined each other to form a substituted or unsubstituted benzene ring. A ring A indicates a substituted or unsubstituted thiophene ring, a substituted or unsubstituted thienothiophene ring, a substituted or unsubstituted dithienothiophene ring, a substituted or unsubstituted benzodithiophene ring, a substituted or unsubstituted benzo[b]thiophene ring, a substituted or unsubstituted naphthalene ring, or a substituted or unsubstituted anthracene ring.
