<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration wave drive unit which can secure a satisfactory press contact force while attaining reduction in size and thickness. <P>SOLUTION: A linear ultrasonic motor includes a vibrator 23 and a mobile apparatus 27 to be frictionally driven by the vibration excited by the vibrator 23. The vibrator 23 is constituted of an elastic body 21 and a piezoelectric element 22. The mobile apparatus 27 is arranged in contact with the elastic body 21 which constitutes the vibrator 23, having a partial space thereto and is constituted of a permanent magnet 24, an elastic member 25 and a friction member 26. The press contact force with the vibrator 23 by the permanent magnet 24 which constitutes the moving mobile apparatus 27 is generated by the convex part 24b of the permanent magnet 24. A friction contact part allowing the vibrator 23 to contact with the mobile apparatus 27 and a press contact force generating part by the permanent magnet 24 are arranged away from each other at a portion where the vibrator 23 and the mobile apparatus 27 face with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
