<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device, which does not require a large force for assembling a spring for energizing a column to an upper side of a tilt, and its assembling method. <P>SOLUTION: The column 1 is pivoted counterclockwise with a tilt central axis 51 as a fulcrum by holding a right end of a steering shaft 12 of the column 1. As the column 1 is pivoted counterclockwise, an outer periphery of the column 1 is abutted to an abutting part 63 of a torsion coil spring 6. The distance from the tilt central axis 51 and the right end of the steering shaft 12 of the column 1 is set to be many times as large as the distance of the hook 64, 64 and the abutting part 63. Therefore, the large force is not required for pivoting the column 1 counterclockwise against the energizing force of the torsion coil spring 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
