<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting part structure eliminating the necessity of welding and preventing adverse effects on joint accuracy even when a mating member connected to a joint for steering is a shaft type. <P>SOLUTION: Shaft parts 18, 46 having male splines are provided in an outer joint member 10 and an inner joint member 40, respectively, and shaft clamps 60 are press-fitted to the shaft parts 18, 46. The shaft clamp 60 is provided with a connection hole 66 having a female spline formed from one axial end part to the middle and having no quench hardening layer and with a cylindrical part 64 in which a female spline is not formed from the other end part to the middle. The shaft parts 18, 46 have quench hardening layers formed on the outer peripheries, and the inner diameter of a portion of the connection hole 64 where the female spline is not formed is set smaller than the outer diameter of the shaft parts 18, 46. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
