PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a storage system for facilitating node exchange, and to provide a path management method. SOLUTION: The host sets a plurality of paths between the host and a volume, and stores path information configured of management information for every set path. A management device collects the path information of each path defined between the host and the volume from the corresponding host, and consolidates the path information as integrated path information. For the path passing through a designated node, the management device retrieves an alternative path passing through other node having the same function as that of the pertinent node based on the integrated path information, and displays the retrieval result.
