PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a complicated preparation operation for selecting a background image while avoiding mismatching of the musical image of a karaoke musical composition with the background image. SOLUTION: The system comprises a musical composition performance frequency recording means which records a performance frequency for a predetermined period of each karaoke musical composition performed in a karaoke device in a playing frequency management table; a musical composition-specific prevalent period determination means which determines a specific period in which the performance frequency recorded in the performance frequency management table exceeds a predetermined threshold as a prevalent period; an external input image management means for managing an optional image input from the outside in an external input image management table together with photographing date data thereof; and an external input image selection means for selecting, upon selection of an optional karaoke musical composition, an external input image with which photographing date data included in a prevalent period based on the prevalent period data thereof is associated, in which when the selected karaoke musical composition is performed, an external input image selected for this karaoke musical composition, if present, is displayed instead of a preset background image.
