PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording device capable of completely preventing staining of a platen. SOLUTION: The movable platen 111 is directly cleaned by paper to which a printing job is performed. Thus, ink adhering to the movable platen 111 is removed with simple constitution without necessitating paper only used for cleaning separately, and the staining of the movable platen 111 is completely prevented.
