An information forwarding method is provided. By using the routing information designating destination edge network included in the data packets to be forwarded, retrieving the border routing device information of the desitnation edge network corresponding to the routing information, and forwarding the data packets to the border routing device of the destination edge network. An information forwarding apparatus is also provided. The invertion can save the cost of the devices capable of storing the routing table in the whole network, increase the speed of the routing convergence of the whole network, improve the efficiency of the whole system, when the number of internet routers rises rapidly. It is easy to realize the invention. |
