PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an NADH/NADPH oxidase inhibitor clinically applicable, persistently ingestible and affording definite effects with little adverse effects.

SOLUTION: The NADH/NADPH oxidase inhibitor comprises one or more kinds selected from a saccharified hesperidin, hesperidin and hesperetin as an active ingredient. A prophylactic or an ameliorating agent for tissue damage caused by the NADH/NADPH oxidase comprises one or more kinds selected from the saccharified hesperidin, the hesperidin and the hesperetin as the active ingredient.
