PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To back up data controlled by an image forming apparatus so that a user can conveniently use it.

SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus which can be connected with a plurality of other image forming apparatuses with one another via a communication line, is provided with: a user data storing part 101 for storing image data; a power source related data acquiring part 108 for acquiring, from the plurality of other image forming apparatuses, power source related data showing in which time zone power sources of other image forming apparatuses are turned on; a backup destination selecting part 111 which selects an apparatus of an image data backup destination from among the other image forming apparatuses; and a data transmitting part 112 for transmitting the image data to the selected backup destination.
