<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image of high quality by suitably controlling timing of the start and end of photography accompanied by smiling face detection. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device includes an imaging unit 6 which picks up a subject image to obtain an image signal, a display unit 5 which can display an image based upon the image signal and predetermined indexes, an operation input unit 3 which receives predetermined operation input, and a control unit 1 which performs control to start detecting a smiling face of a subject when a predetermined mode is selected and operation input is performed through the operation input unit 3 and then perform predetermined photography when a smiling face is detected through the smiling face detection and then pick up a subject image, and to repeat the smiling face detection, photography control, and imaging until predetermined end conditions are satisfied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
