PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receptacle of a small size with having no space for incorporating a conductive member for ESD (electrostatic discharge) in which the receptacle itself can have an ESD countermeasure and changes are not necessary to be applied to main portions (the arrangement and dimensions of terminals) of the receptacle which are relevant to plug insertion. SOLUTION: The receptacle 1 has a plurality of signal terminals 3s and ground terminals 3e installed at a molding part 7 so that these signal terminals 3s and ground terminals 3e may have an adjoining arrangement portion. The signal terminal 3s has a wide portion 32 supported by a molding part 7, and the ground terminal 3e has the wide portion 32 supported by the molding part 7, and the wide portion 32 of the signal terminal 3s and the wide portion 32 of the ground terminal 3e are exposed adjoined at a rear part 73 on a side opposite to the plug insertion port 2 side of the molding part 7.
