PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material which is advantageous for PAF-AH recombinant production, by identification and isolation of a polynucleotide sequence encoding a platelet-activating factor acetylhydrolase (PAF-AH) originating from a human plasma. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the polypeptide consisting of active fragments obtained by deleting N-terminal amino acids consisting of at most 12 amino acids with an N-terminal amino acid residue as one end in amino acids (42-441) of a matured human PAF-AH with a specific amino acid sequence.
