When an inverter driving a motor (MG2) has caused a single-phase shortcircuit, the inverter is set to a 3-phase shortcircuit (S100). An inverse electromotive function torque Tb functioning on a drive shaft by the inverse electromotive voltage caused by rotation of the motor (MG2) and a steering angle function torque Ts based on a steering angle ? are subtracted from a request torque T* based on an accelerator pedal step-in degree so as to set an execution torque Tr* (S120-S150) and control an engine and an inverter driving a motor (MG1) so as to travel at the execution torque Tr* (S160-S200). Thus, the drive force outputted to the drive shaft by the engine and the motor (MG1) may be based on the request torque T*.
