The method involves providing an internal combustion engine with fuel from a fuel tank. A motor i.e. Electric motor, is not run with the fuel from the tank. A closed vent pipe is branched off from fuel tank, and is ended into an intake system of the engine. The engine is not used for driving a motor vehicle in an operating condition. A non-tolerable high pressure is built in the tank in the operating condition by opening of the vent pipe and by combustion of gaseous fuel constituents in the engine. The building of pressure is impeded in an exhaust system.
