<p>The device has an electronic weighing platform (1) on which to situate the animal (2) whose parameters are to be measured, e.g. a dog, a laser measuring instrument (5) working with said weighing platform (1), which sends laser beams (8) through a sheet of treated glass (4) to the chosen points of the animal, e.g. its head, its tail or the end of its legs, in order to determine its weight, height and length, parameters which are supplied to a computer system where they are duly processed and compared with respective reference data in order to establish deviations that might be the cause of overweight problems or certain diseases, to monitor therapeutic and control processes, etc.
