The device has an insulation material housing comprising housing shells (12) that are held together by a connecting device e.g. screw coupling, under formation of a joining line. The connecting device is engaged to a broad side of the shells, and the housing has an accommodating space for connectors in a region of a narrow side. Another connecting device is provided in the regions of the accommodating space and associated narrow side, and holds the shells together at the joining line. The housing is made of thermoplastic.
