APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR KEY-INPUTTING IN A WIRELESS TERMINAL WITH TOUCH KEY

A key input device in a mobile terminal having a touch key is provided to increase the usability of a mobile terminal by using even the press strength of a touch key as the input of a touch key. A key is inputted according to the key operation of a user(S401), and a controller senses the key input through a first touch sensor of a key input(S402). The controller senses the press strength of a key sensed by a pressure sensor(S403). The touch sensor or the pressure sensor senses the input of a touch key and the press strength of the sensed key input. The controller checks over which key among plural keys included the key input unit is inputted and senses the press strength of the inputted key. The controller controls the operation of a mobile terminal according to the press strength and the sensed key input(S404).
