Ear-muffs incorporating a pump to control pressure within the ears

An ear device in comprises ear-pieces 8, 10 which encompass the ears 11. The pressure is regulated inside the device by use of an air pump connected to the ear-pieces 8, 10 by means of tubing 5. The ear-pieces form a tight seal 6 around the ear-pieces 8, 10. The earpieces 8, 10 are connected via a band 7 that has enough force to push the ear-pieces 8, 10 against the ears 11. The tubing 5 may be hidden inside the band 7. The air pump may be either external 1, or internal 4 to the earpieces. The ear device may have an inbuilt audio player or may be able to be connected to an external audio source. The device may be used on airplanes to prevent ear pain caused by pressure variations.
