A water purification apparatus is provided to enable the underground water or other non-purified water to be used as drinking water by filtering and purifying underground water or other non-purified water several times. A water purification apparatus(A) comprises a settling tank(2) storing and settling underground water, a stabilization tank(4) stabilizing supernatant flown in from the settling tank, a microorganism treatment tank(6) contacting microorganisms with supernatant flown in from the stabilization tank to purify the supernatant, and a plurality of filter units(8) filtering water treated in the microorganism treatment tank. The filter units each includes a cylindrical body having an inflow pipe connected to an upper part thereof and a discharge pipe connected to a lower part thereof, a plurality of filter plates inserted into and stacked in the cylindrical body, and a shaft rod joined with the filter plates by passing through central parts of the filter plates. |
