PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent misoperation of a circuit and noise, when the electrodeless discharge lamp is shifted from a predetermined position with respect to the induction coil. SOLUTION: The electrodeless discharge lamp device comprises the electrodeless discharge lamp 1, in which a discharge gas is sealed inside, and the discharge gas is discharged by high frequency electromagnetic field and lights the lamp and an electrodeless discharge lamp lighting device 2, including a contact part 6. The contact part 6 includes terminal parts 60, 61 and a movable part 62. The terminals 60, 61 are provided between an induction coil 30 and a high-frequency power supply 5, and the movable part 62 is installed on the inner wall of a base 11. When the electrodeless discharge lamp 1 is installed at a predetermined position with respect to the induction coil 30, the terminals 60, 61 are electrically connected by the movable part 62, and supplying of high-frequency power from the high-frequency power supply 5 to the induction coil 30 is carried out. As opposed to this, when the electrodeless discharge lamp 1 is shifted from the predetermined position with respect to the induction coil 30, connection between the terminals 60, 61 is opened, and supplying of the high-frequency power is stopped.
