<p>An electric connector includes an insulative body (100), and upper and lower groups of contacts (200a, 200b) arranged in two rows in the lateral direction inside the body with each contact spaced apart from one another in a staggered manner. In a contact (201b) in the lower group of contacts (200b), the width and the area of its main portion (2012b, see FIG. 6b) is adjusted in accordance with a difference in impedance from another signal contact with respect to a common ground contact in the upper and lower groups of contacts (200a, 200b). The electric connector provides good impedance matches without adding a dummy ground contact or changing the shape of a shield cover (300).</p> |
