<p>A marker for use in determining the magnification of X-ray image and associated method are described. The marker comprises a circular member of a material imageable by x-rays and a support for holding the circular member away from the surface of a patient. The support bears an adhesive by which the marker can be releasably attached to the patient adjacent a body part to be imaged using x-rays. An x-ray image of the body part of the patient and the circular member is captured. The size of the largest dimension of the image of the member in the captured x-ray image is determined and used to calculate the magnification of the x-ray image.</p> |
