The invention relates to installation apparatus 201 for securing a solar energy collection device 101 as part of a roof. A bracket element (202 figure 2) and an interface element (203 figure 2) are configured to co-operate to provide a first coupling arrangement configured to allow adjustment in a first direction. The interface element and a mullion element 204 are configured to co-operate to provide a second coupling arrangement configured to allow a degree of movement, in a second direction that is substantially perpendicular to said first direction. The mullion element presents a support plane configured to receive an edge of a solar energy collection device. A cap element is configured to be secured to the mullion element such that a received edge of a solar energy collection device is secured between the cap element and the support plane of said mullion element. A bridging element and the mullion element are preferably configured to direct water towards roof eaves gutters. Later embodiments relate to method of securing said solar energy collection device. |
