An automatic teller machine and a control method for standing-by time of input thereof are provided to add or reduce standing-by time of input according to the age of a client by setting up the standing-by time of input based on CRM(customer relationship managemnet) information of MS(magnetic stripe) data or customer information included in RFID information. A recognition part(16) recognizes financial data recorded in a passbook or a card. The recognition part is composed of a MS reader(16a) and a RFID(radio frequency identification) reader(16b). A communications module(18) transmits the recognized financial data to a finance host and receives information of the target customer from the customer relationship management server of the finance host. A time setting part(20) selectively sets up standing-by time for inputting the various kinds of operation command and transaction information based on the received customer information according to the age of the client. The controller(22) controls to perform input action based on the set up standing-by time of input. |
