A butterfly valve of metal seat type is provided to increase sealing efficiency by maintaining sealing with surface contact although metal sheet rotates and facilitate manufacturing and repair work and accomplish economical effect with a simple structure. A butterfly valve of metal seat type comprises a water flow hole(11) through which fluid flows inside a valve body(10) connected to a channel; a body sheet(12) maintaining sealing by surface contacting with a body sheet protruded toward the center of the inside of the valve body; a drive part formed in a valve body; a disc(20), opening and closing the channel with its rotation, in order to control the flow of fluid inside the channel; The disc comprises a packing mounting groove(25) and a ring type packing ring(26) preventing the escape of fluid in spite of flow of a metal sheet(22) inside the packing mounting groove.
