A resin composition containing a catalyst precursor is provided to ensure excellent patterning characteristic, excellent chemical resistance, adhesive property and deposition, to form micro-patterns, and to have low catalyst loss in wet processing. A resin composition containing a catalyst precursor comprises (a) a copolymer resin having a carboxylic acid functional group and a cardo functional group; (b) fluorinated silver ion organic complex precursor; (c) monomer having a multifunctional ethylenically unsaturated bond; (d) photoinitiator; and (e) organic solvent.
