A safety system of an elevator door is provided to prevent a passenger or a possession of the passenger to being jammed between the doors by sensing a slim and long object in-between the doors at the moment the door of an elevator closes. A safety system of an elevator door comprises an elevator main body(200) boarding along a hoist way within a building; a first sensor sensing the entry of object, located in the floor and the ceiling corresponding to the spot where a left and right elevator door are closed; and a door driving part controlling the operation of an elevator door depending on the signal sensed from the first sensor.
