METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VIDEO TELEPHONY SERVICE USING COMPULSORY LOCATION-REGISTERATION IN MOBILE NETWORKS

An apparatus for video telephony service using compulsory location-registration in a mobile networks is provided to enable an SIP video communication terminal perform a using WCDMA video communication terminal. An MSS(Multimedia Streaming Service)(11) receives the image calling from the SIP mobile phone having a camera(10)(S 200). A subscriber and an SVC inquiry message are transmitted to the IMSR(IP Multimedia Subscriber Register) which the information about the image subscriber is stored(S 202). A DS-HLR(14) receives the subscriber picture phone type inquiry message from the IMSR(12)(S 204). The DS-HLR recognizes clearly the CDMA2000-1x change mode state of the WCDMA mobile phone having a camera(16)(S 206). The DS-HLR sends the location registration notification to the WCDMA mobile phone having a camera to the WCDMA system(S 208).
