A bobbin for a transformer and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent the falling of a lead terminal by setting up the lead terminal in a terminal insertion part in the form of 'U'. A coil winding part(12) is segmented into a plurality of parts with a coil partition(11). A coil is wound in the coil winding part. A plurality of terminal insertion parts(13) are formed in the coil winding part to constant interval. One or more lead terminals(13a) are inserted into the edge of each terminal insertion part. The upper portion and bottom portion of the lead terminal passing through an inserting hole(13b) of the terminal insertion part are curve-cut in the outer side of the bobbin(100) and are mounted on the terminal insertion part in the form of 'U'. The upper end of the lead terminal is extended to the outer side of the terminal insertion part. A seating groove(13c) is formed in the location adjacent to the inserting hole of the terminal insertion part. The upper portion and bottom portion of the lead terminal are inserted into the seating groove.
