An electrode, an electrode assembly and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to melt the electrode and a lead with enough welding strength and mechanical strength. An electrode assembly(1) comprises an electrode(2) and a lead(3) which is fixed to the electrode. The electrode has a side wall and a low wall(5) closing one end(4b) of an inner surface(4a) of a side wall(4) of the hook shape. The interval low wall has a concave part(6) on the exterior. The lead is arranged on the coaxial of the side wall of electrode and is fixed within the concave part of electrode. A plurality of convex parts are protruded to the axis direction outer side from a bottom surface(6a).
