<p>The method involves measuring of total mass of soot entering in a particulate filter (2), and measuring mass of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) entering in the filter. Soot mass reacted by a passive regeneration reaction with the entering nitrogen dioxide is determined, and deduction of soot mass accumulated in the filter equal to total soot mass entering in the filter minus soot mass reacted by the passive regeneration reaction is carried out by subtraction of the soot mass accumulated in the particle filter. An independent claim is also included for an exhaust gas pollution reducing device of a motor vehicle.</p> |
