<p>A pallet (10) includes a base layer (20) and a cargo layer (30). The cargo layer (30) includes a pair of spaced apart end deck boards (34), and a pair of spaced apart connector boards (32) orthogonal to the pair of spaced apart end deck boards (34). Spaced apart support blocks (40) are coupled between the base (20) and cargo (30) layers and form a gap therebetween for receiving a lifting member. Each support block (40) includes a stepped top surface having a first level (48a) for receiving an end deck board (34) and second level (48b) for receiving a connector board (32).
