When a computer (C1) fails, a failed computer search process (FP) that operates on the computer (C1) is started by another computer such as a computer (C2). When the search process (FP) detects the failed computer (C1), the search process (FP) selects for a provisioning computer (C5) using a provisioning computer search unit (PP2). A boot image setting unit (BS2) selects a storage device (D1) which stores a boot image that has been processed by the failed computer (C1). A boot unit (BB2) boots the selected provisioning computer (C5) using the boot image stored in the selected storage device (D1).
