ABRADANT PAD FOR MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIA AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A polishing pad for magnetic recording media and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to guarantee enlarged polishing surface area and improve the fluidity of polishing fluid. A polishing pad for magnetic recording media comprises non-woven including interlaced ultrafine fiber bundles(A) having a section in which 4~128 stick type protrusions are radially protruded on the center, and polymer elastomer impregnated in the non-woven. The ultrafine fiber is implanted on the surface of the polishing pad, where the fineness of single yarn of the ultrafine fiber is 0.3~3 denier.
