A user terminal capable of searching lyrics through internet using an identifier about sound source data generated in the user terminal and a lyrics providing system are provided to search the lyrics exactly by using a lyrics search system. A monitor(112) included in an output unit(108) indicates a lyric text stored in a user terminal(100) and a lyric text transmitted from a system. The lyric outputted from the monitor is synchronized with music. A checksum extraction engine(114) extracts a part of sound data reproduced from the sound source player(102). The checksum extraction engine produces checksum in a part of the soundness source reproduced from sound source player.
