A battery pack is provided to prevent the degradation of the battery performance caused in the heat sealing, to ensure excellent mechanical strength and surface rigidity and to protect the battery cell from scratch or external shock. A battery pack includes a plate type battery cell, a pack case mounted with a battery cell and an casing film covering the exterior of the pack case and the plate type battery cell. The pack case has a structure where at least one side of both sides of the battery cell is opened. The casing film(400) comprises an outside polymer resin layer(410) having durability, a metal layer(430) increasing the strength, and a inner sheath layer(420) adhered to the exterior of the battery cell or pack case.
