An air cleaner is provided to form strongly an intensity of a magnetic field inside a space in which the electric field is formed and to improve efficiency of dust collection to contaminants by utilizing a property that the magnetic field is formed through arrangement position of the magnetic force generation part. An air cleaner contains a ground connection electrode part containing a pair of parallel flat boards(10a,10b), magnetic force generation parts(40a,40b) of generating a magnetic attraction between flat boards and a voltage generation unit applying voltage to the ground connection electrode part and a discharge electrode(20). The air cleaner forms a strong magnetic field and an electric field and mounts easily the magnetic force generation part. A part of the magnetic force generation part is faced with the opposite electrode and is mounted on a plane of the flat board facing the discharge electrode. The magnetic force generation part is mounted to the flat board higher than the discharge electrode and is mounted on a height equal to the discharge electrode. The flat board comprises a mounting member fixing the magnetic force generation part. |
